The Ontario Power Generation Winter Festival of Lights is one of the premier illumination festivals in North America. Our signature Illumination Route extends eight kilometres through the stunningly beautiful Niagara Parkway, through Dufferin Islands and into surrounding tourist districts. The displays along the Niagara Parkway represent the largest section of the WFOL illumination route and host many of the Festival’s iconic displays.
Grandview
At the bottom of Clifton Hill is an area known as Grandview, during the OPG Winter Festival of Lights this area features decorative lighting including spiral trees at Oakes Garden Theatre, plus there are trees adorn with warm white lighting including dangling strands that resemble with Spanish Moss.
Queen Victoria Park
Moving towards the Falls, visitors can view the Festival’s iconic Zimmerman Fountain, the Niagara Parks Deer Pond and the illuminated Niagara Parks Police Building with Angels. At the foot of Murray Street, Queen Victoria Park is beautifully illuminated with a forest of tree-shaped displays in various colours. Behind these trees white blinking lights are spread across the moraine which resemble sparkling stars in the night sky.
